The popular outdoor patio at Steamworks Brewery has an era influenced faux mosaic pattern which was custom designed to be interesting and intelligent for the patio patrons.
It is a Vesuvian inspired design which has five individually painted (yes, painted!) colour bands which braid, turn corners and divide into two, combine with other braids and return fluidly into the design.
So have a local micro beer, a Portobello mushroom burger and see for yourself.
Mosaic Border at Steamworks
Every contemporary couple needs an extremely interesting powder room.
Variations of blue and steel were amalgamated into diamonds of metallic blue and pearlescent white on the ceiling and walls.
Notice the importance of foresight to detailing of where the wall joins the mirror to reflect a continuous and tegral pattern, equally important when using stripes against a mirror.
Metallic Powder Room
There is great impact in embellishing architectural details with painted stone or marble.
This fireplace and its neighbouring columns (not shown) have been layered in colours and textures, which imitate rare, heavy and expensive sandstone from Europe.
The weight of such a material abolished its practical use here. A fresco faux finish can seen on the walls in this home.
Sandstone Fireplace & Pillars
This highly popular faux finish is light and airy. Ideal for a bedroom yet suitable for most rooms.
This fast and easy finish is assuming the new name of the frugal finish, as it is an affordable finish that combines colours for gratifying and often dreamy results.
It was created to remove the obstacle of expense from some people's visions of their walls looking like those of a million dollar home.
Subtle Old World Finish
This Land Developer builds many houses in a year. We always paint the powder room, the media room and feature walls in the dining room.
Buyers love the rich look and ease of visualising themselves at home there. It is a valued extra which packs a profit.
European Bronze / Gold Finish
An existing slate fireplace set the stage for a greater magnitude of colour.
An imitative slate fuses seamlessly due to expert colour matching and experience in creating faux stone embellishments.
The walls are decorated with an Old World Faux Finish.
Faux Slate Fireplace
Most new homes integrate a media room these days. This extraordinary home theatre demanded a distinctive dazzle.
Creating a guilded iron finish gave the weight and brilliance to complement the richness of red and black and gold in the elegant setting you see here.
These pillars are not iron, nor are they heavy as they look, another successful illusion.
Guilded Pillars
This inset ceiling gracefully augments the 16 carat gold of the chandelier while the custom designed stencil adds detail of the leaded privacy glass.
Each element stand alone as a brilliant welcome when viewed from the entranceway below.
A Brillant Welcome
The walls and ceiling of this attractive dining room feature a European Parchment finish in sophisticated earth tones.
The finish extends throughout the entire main floor and unifies the decorating style of this home.
European Parchment Finish
A plain pine floor is transformed to merge with its' heritage neighbour.
All faux finished to look like an alternating fir and pine diamond pattern with an inlayed detail of darker wood, a very successful makeover.
Faux Marquettry Floor
Understanding and applying colour is a specialty for AEA, this "Gypsy Woman Pink" glazed with "Metallic Bronze" is a modish example of what faux finish and colour can do to add life to your rooms.
Funky Colour
This old hotel had some great features and desperately needed an update.
We chose to faux finish all the walls, install some character crown moldings and paint the ceilings to tie in with the new carpets. We developed an intellectual colour combination for a soft parchment finish. It was an essential investment which brought major results.
Royal Hotel Lobby
Soft, subtle and sensual. This finish can transform existing wall in any array of colours.

The Flower Girl Room
This wall is three-dimensional FAUX brick. And the floor is actually painted to look like hardwood.
Very convincing, especially in real life.
